I am writing you today about another passion of mine; alpine skiing. I grew up luckier than most people, because I could see the ski runs on the mountain from my house. I am 50 years old, and I have tore the tendon on my left leg. But I still love to ski. Saturdays I volunteer for a non profit organization that teaches people with disabilities how to ski called Eagle-Mount. Eagle-Mount operates both at Red Lodge Mountain Ski Resort near Billings, MT and Bridger Bowl Ski Resort near Bozeman, MT. It’s a win / win situation I teach from 8am to Noon go have lunch with my student, and then I am on my own for the afternoon to go blast down the mountain. In exchange for my morning of volunteering Eagle-Mount gives me a free lift ticket for the day. Right now Eagle-Mount is extremely short on volunteers. If you are a strong intermediate to advanced skier, or if you are non skier you can volunteer in a support position, and if you live in the Billings or Bozeman area please go to Eagle-Mounts website: http://www.eaglemount.us/ and sign up for training. Believe me you’ll be glad that you did!
